Discord automation with Bizomate
If your team or community talks in Discord, that is where alerts and updates belong. Bizomate posts messages and files to a channel when something happens elsewhere — a release, a failed build, a new sign-up — and with a bot it can react and start a thread for the discussion. Every run leaves a record of what was posted.

What a workflow can do with it
Posts to a Discord channel
With a webhook, leave Channel empty: it posts to the webhook's own channel, under the name and picture you give in Post as and Picture. With a bot, choose any channel in the bot's servers. Up to 2,000 characters, and an embed card under it if you like.
Posts a file from an earlier step to a Discord channel
A file from an earlier step, up to 10 MB on most servers, with words to go with it.
Puts an emoji on a message — needs a bot
Needs a bot. The emoji itself, or a server emoji as name:id.
Starts a thread in a channel — needs a bot
Needs a bot. It hangs off a message, by its id, or starts on its own.
Questions about Discord
Webhook or bot — which do I need?
A webhook, for alerts to one channel: it takes a minute to make and needs nothing else. A bot, to post to several channels from one connection, or to add reactions and start threads.
Can a Discord message start a workflow?
Not today — Discord has no trigger in Bizomate. Start the workflow with a schedule, a form, a webhook or another app, and use Discord's steps from there.
Which permissions does the bot need?
When you invite it: View Channels, Send Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files, Read Message History, Add Reactions, Create Public Threads and Send Messages in Threads.
Can it post as a different name for each alert?
With a webhook, yes: Post as and Picture on Send a message set the name and picture for that message. A bot always posts as itself.
