How to delete your data
Everything here can be done by you, in Bizomate, without asking us — except where the page says to write to us. If you cannot sign in, ask us and we will do it for you. What is deleted at once, and what is kept and why, is set out below.
1. Take a copy first
Deleting cannot be undone. To keep a copy:
- Sign in at bizomate.io.
- Open the menu under your photo or initials, top right, and choose Settings.
- Under Account, choose Your data, then Download.
You get one JSON file: your profile, sign-in methods, sessions, companies and roles, support tickets and chats, and notifications — and, for companies you own, their workflows, run history, lists and connection names. Passwords, keys and tokens are never included. To take a single workflow to another workspace, use Export on the workflow itself.
2. Delete your account
- Go to Settings › Your data.
- Choose Delete account.
-
If something has to happen first, Bizomate lists it, with a link to where you do it:
- You own a company that has other people in it. Transfer ownership first: in that company, go to Settings › Plan and billing › Transfer ownership. The other person must accept; until they do, you are still the owner.
- You are the only admin of a workspace. Make someone else an admin in Settings › Members, or archive the workspace.
- When nothing stands in the way, Bizomate shows what will happen to each company you are in. Type your email address to confirm, and choose Delete my account.
You are signed out everywhere at once, and we send one last email to say it is done. Companies you are in carry on without you. A company you own with nobody else in it closes with your account — see Delete a company.
3. Leave a workspace or company
- Switch to the workspace, then go to Settings › General.
- Choose Leave workspace, and confirm.
- Leaving your last workspace in a company leaves the company too; the button then says Leave workspace and company.
- The last admin of a workspace has to make someone else admin first, and the owner has to transfer ownership before leaving the company.
- What you built stays with the company — workflows, connections and run history belong to it, not to you. Your account itself is not deleted; do that as in section 2.
4. Delete workflows, lists and connections
- A workflow: choose Delete workflow from its menu, in the Workflows list or the designer. Its versions, all its runs, the data each step handled and the files those runs kept are deleted at once.
- A list: choose Delete list from its menu in Lists. Its rows go with it.
-
A connection: go to Connections.
- Revoke stops Bizomate using it and erases the stored sign-in at once.
- Delete (on a revoked or expired connection) removes the connection completely, including any API key or password you typed in. Use Delete to remove a key or password.
- Neither withdraws the permission on the other service's side. Do that there too — section 7.
Workspace admins and editors can do these. Run history also drops out on its own as new runs arrive, as the privacy policy describes.
5. Delete a workspace
- Switch to the workspace, then go to Settings › General. You need to be a workspace admin.
- Choose Archive workspace, and confirm.
Archiving stops every workflow at once but deletes nothing, so a company admin can restore it later from the Workspaces page. To have an archived workspace and everything in it deleted for good, write to us as in section 8, from the email address of the company's owner or an admin, and name the company and workspace. We delete it within 30 days. To delete its contents yourself straight away, delete its workflows, lists and connections first, as in section 4.
6. Delete a company
A company is deleted when its owner deletes their account while nobody else is in it. To delete a company with other people in it, the owner first removes them in Settings › Members (or asks them to leave), then deletes their own account as in section 2. Or write to us from the owner's email address.
When a company closes:
- every workflow stops at once, and nothing can start one — schedules, webhook addresses and queued runs are removed, and pending invitations are withdrawn
- any paid plan is cancelled
- 30 days later, everything in it is deleted: its workspaces, workflows and versions, runs and their files, lists, connections and their stored sign-ins, keys and passwords, projects, variables, members and notifications. Its billing address and tax number are erased
- its name, country and dates are kept, so our records still say a company existed
The 30 days are there so a mistake can still be undone: write to us within them and we can stop it.
7. Remove Bizomate from Google, Microsoft, Slack and Meta
Revoking or deleting a connection in Bizomate stops us using it. To withdraw the permission you gave on the service's side as well:
- Google (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Drive, Docs, Forms): go to myaccount.google.com/permissions, choose Bizomate under third-party apps and services, then Delete all connections (or Remove access). A Google Workspace administrator can also remove it for the whole organisation in the Admin console under Security › API controls.
- Microsoft (Outlook, Calendar, Teams): for a work or school account, go to myapps.microsoft.com, open the menu on Bizomate and choose Manage your application › Revoke permissions — or ask your organisation's administrator to remove it in Microsoft Entra › Enterprise applications. For a personal Microsoft account, go to account.live.com/consent/Manage, choose Bizomate and Remove these permissions.
- Slack: in Slack, open your workspace's menu, then Tools & settings › Manage apps (App Management). Find Bizomate under Installed apps, open it, and choose Remove app. You may need to be a workspace admin, or ask one.
- Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp Business), for any Meta account connected to Bizomate: on Facebook, go to Settings & privacy › Settings › Apps and websites, choose Bizomate, and Remove. For a business, a Business Manager admin can remove it in Business settings › Integrations. Then delete the connection in Bizomate, or ask us to delete what we hold from that account, as in section 8.
- Other services (HubSpot, Salesforce, GitHub, Jira and the rest): remove Bizomate in that service's connected-apps or integrations settings. For a key or password you typed in, delete or rotate it in the service, then delete the connection in Bizomate.
8. Ask us to delete it
If you cannot sign in, never had an account (for example, you used a chat or filled in a form), or want something deleted that has no button, write to hello@bizomate.com with the subject "Delete my data". Tell us:
- the email address on the account, or that you used in the chat or form
- what you want deleted — your account, a workspace, a company, a chat, a connected account's data
- for a workspace or company, its name
Confirming it is you. Write from the email address on the account. If you cannot, we email that address and ask you to confirm from it. For a company, we confirm with the owner. We may ask you to confirm a detail only the account holder would know, such as the name of a recent workflow or connection. We never ask for your password, and never ask for more than we need. Someone acting for you must show us your written permission.
How long it takes. We acknowledge your request within 48 hours and complete it within 30 days, as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the GDPR expect. If something stops us — for example, we cannot confirm it is you, or the law requires us to keep part of it — we tell you what and why within those 30 days.
You can also write to our Grievance Officer, as the privacy policy says, and complain to the Data Protection Board of India or your own data protection authority if you are not satisfied.
9. What is deleted, and what is kept
Deleted at once when you delete your account
- your name, email address, phone number, job title and profile photo
- your password, passkeys, authenticator, recovery codes and every other way to sign in
- every session, with its device, IP address and location
- your notifications, and invitations and ownership offers sent to your address
- your membership of every company and workspace
Kept, and why
- An empty account record named "Deleted user", so that tickets, chats and logs that point to it still read. It holds nothing about you, cannot be signed in to, and is locked for good.
- A one-way keyed hash of your email address — not the address — so the same address cannot start a second free trial.
- Support tickets and chats keep what was said, as the history of the company's support, with your name and email address removed. Ask us and we will delete them as well.
- The administrative log keeps the record that the account was deleted, and of earlier security actions such as two-factor resets, as a security record.
- What belongs to a company you were in — the workflows, lists, connections and run history you built there — stays with it. It is the company's data; ask its owner or admin to delete it.
- Invoices and payment records, once payments are live: kept for 8 years from the end of the financial year they belong to, as the Companies Act, 2013 (section 128) requires — which also covers the period the CGST Act, 2017 (section 36) sets for GST records. They are deleted when that period ends.
- Backups: Azure keeps automatic backups of our databases for a short fixed period (7 days by default) and then overwrites them. Deleted data disappears from the backups as they age out; it is not restored except to recover from a failure.
- Error reports held by Sentry age out within 90 days.
- Anything the law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires, or that we need to establish or defend a legal claim — and only that.
A profile photo you replaced or removed earlier is not deleted automatically yet, nor are files attached to a visitor chat; ask us and we will delete them.
10. Confirmation
When you delete your account in Bizomate, we email the address it had to confirm, and say which companies closed with it and the date they will be deleted. When we delete something because you asked, we write to tell you it is done and what, if anything, we kept and why. If you asked through Meta or another service, write to us with your email address and we will tell you the status of your request.
