WooCommerce automation with Bizomate

Your WooCommerce store takes the order; someone still has to tell the warehouse, message the customer and keep stock right. Bizomate does those jobs the moment the store reports the order, and changes products, stock, orders and customers when another app says so. Every run leaves a record you can read.

What can start a workflow

New order
When an order is placed in the store

Publishing makes a webhook named Bizomate in your store, signed with a secret of Bizomate's own; there is nothing to paste. WooCommerce sends webhooks from its own background jobs, so on a quiet site an event can take a little while.

Order updated
When an order changes — its status, its items

When the order itself changes: its status, items, totals, a refund, an address. A note added on its own does not start a run.

New customer
When a customer account is created
Product updated
When a product is changed

What a workflow can do with it

Create or update a product
A product in the store, new or changed
Find a product
Products by SKU or by a word in them — one item each

By SKU, or by a word in it, one item each.

Update stock
Sets or adjusts a product's stock

Set a product's stock, or add or take away: -3 takes away three.

Create an order
An order for products, with the customer's details
Update an order's status
Moves an order on — processing, completed, cancelled
Add an order note
A note on an order, private or to the customer

Private, unless you switch on Send to the customer; then WooCommerce emails it to them.

Create or update a customer
A customer in the store, new or changed
Create a coupon
A coupon code for a percentage or an amount off

Questions about WooCommerce

Do I set up webhooks in WordPress?

No. Publishing a workflow with a WooCommerce trigger makes its webhook in your store, and every publish makes it again. Deleting the workflow, or changing it to start another way, deletes the webhook.

Why did an event arrive late?

WooCommerce sends webhooks from its own background jobs, which on a quiet site run when someone next visits it. A few seconds is usual; longer is not a fault.

Should I use New order or Order updated?

One of them for a given job, not both: a new order can also send Order updated as WooCommerce finishes it. To act on one status only, use Order updated with an If step on the status.

My store works in a browser, but Bizomate cannot reach it. Why?

A security plugin or firewall on the site may block calls from outside. Check that the site allows requests to /wp-json/wc/v3, and that permalinks are not set to Plain.
